Brandi Hitt is a former Emmy Award-winning journalist and television news anchor, recognized for her reporting in local and national news. Born on January 7, 1980, in Lodi, California, she graduated from Tokay High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from California State University, Fresno.(Primes Magazines)
Hitt began her journalism career at KMPH-TV in Fresno, where she helped launch the morning newscast “Great Day” and transitioned from reporter to anchor. She then worked at KOVR-TV in Sacramento from 2005 to 2010, before joining KTLA in Los Angeles in 2010, where she earned L.A.’s Golden Mike Award. In 2012, she joined ABC News as a correspondent, appearing on programs like “Good Morning America,” “World News Tonight,” and “Nightline.” She covered major events such as the Aurora, Colorado movie theater shooting, the Penn State sex abuse scandal, the 2012 Presidential election, Nelson Mandela’s death, the war in Afghanistan, California wildfires, Hurricane Sandy, and the Boston Marathon bombing.
