Fritz Coleman:

weathercaster, comedian, and actor.

40 years as the main weathercaster for NBC4. Born on May 27, 1948, in Philadelphia. Pursued studies in radio, television, and film at Salem College in West Virginia. and Temple University in Philadelphia. Before his work in LATV News, Coleman worked as a comedian and disc jockey, performing stand-up comedy in L.A. starting in 1980.

Joined KNBC in 1983 as a weekend weatherman and became the weekday weathercaster in 1985, a position he held until his retirement in 2020.

In addition to his weather career, Coleman has been active in the entertainment industry. . After retiring from KNBC, he returned to stand-up comedy and currently hosts the “Media Path Podcast” with Louise Palanker, discussing news, and entertainment.

Coleman was married for six years and has three children—two sons and a daughter—from that marriage.
