Steve Kmetko is an American television and entertainment journalist best known for his work as an anchor on E! News Daily in the late 1990s and early 2000s. He covered celebrity news, red carpet events, and Hollywood entertainment.
In 1999, he publicly came out as gay, making him one of the few openly gay television journalists at the time. After leaving E!, he continued working in media, including freelance journalism and hosting gigs.
Before his time at E! News, Steve Kmetko was a news anchor and entertainment reporter on KTTV (Fox 11) in Los Angeles during the 1980s and early 1990s. He also worked at KNBC (Channel 4) in L.A. as a reporter. His background in local news helped him transition into entertainment journalism at E!.
