Wendy Burch is an Emmy Award-winning journalist, writer, and advocate, recognized for her reporting on KTLA 5 Morning News. Born on February 5, 1969, in Salt Lake City, Utah, she was adopted five days after birth and raised Mormon. Burch earned a bachelor’s degree in communications with an emphasis in broadcast journalism from Brigham Young University in 1990.
She covers everything from breaking news and high-profile court cases to star-studded red carpet events. Before joining KTLA in 2009, she worked for KCAL-TV, E! Entertainment News, and was a member of KABC-TV’s Eyewitness News team from 2003 to 2008, during which she received an Emmy nomination for best hard news reporting.
Advocate for women’s fertility issues. She openly shared her personal journey of becoming a mother at age 46 through the use of a donor egg, aiming to inspire and support other women facing similar challenges. She is also the founder of FUN-lanthropy.
